Asia’s leading ICT B2B tradeshow – COMPUTEX TAIPEI will return from June 4 to 7, 2024 in Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center Halls 1 and 2. Following the latest industrial trends, a new Smart Mobility Area will be included to the event to leverage the opportunities in the EV, smart cockpits, and charging station supply chains. Focusing on the Ongoing CASE Trends, COMPUTEX 2024 will Include a New Smart Mobility Zone to Leverage Opportunities in EVs, Smart Cockpits, and Charging Piles
In April 2023, McKinsey published a report that stated a majority of the world’s 1.3 billion vehicles are privately owned. TCA stated that to improve vehicle safety, many major automakers have complied with smart city requirements and shifted to focus on CASE (Connected, Autonomous, Shared, and Electric). The automakers and other stakeholders have now also comprehensively developed electric vehicles, smart vehicles, autonomous cars, and the necessary MaaS (Mobility as a Service) applications.
Smart cockpits and ADAS (Advanced driver-assistance system) are necessary to further improve driving safety. The growing demand for electric vehicles will mean a rapid increase in demand for automotive semiconductors as well as the need for EV charging infrastructures such as charging stations and charging piles.
In this new age of smart and connected vehicles, the cooperation between the automotive and ICT industries are vital. To address this trend, TCA will introduce the new Smart Mobility Area in COMPUTEX 2024. This area will showcase various innovative automotive modules, components, and solutions to help automakers, Tier 1 suppliers, and auto parts companies to find the products they need; including: ADAS modules, smart cockpit solutions, charging stations, charging piles, automotive semiconductors, IoV devices, vehicle certification services, and more.
AI Computing, Energy Storage, and Smart Technologies Drive Industrial Demand in the Application and Service Industries
The innovations made possible by OpenAI’s ChatGPT & LLM AIs as well as the increasingly urgent need for progress in achieving net-zero goals have made in-premise energy storage systems necessary alongside various smart technology applications. This shows that in addition providing ICT products for global buyers, manufacturers also target global system integrators. To address this trend, the organizers have updated the exhibition areas to include: AI Computing & System Integration Area, Components & Battery Energy Storage Area, and IoT & Smart Technology Area.
