dmedia releases M0, its latest WiMAX MID

dmedia is a manufacturer of telecommunication CPE electronics devices, released M0, its latest Mobile Internet Device that integrate with WiMAX technology. M0 is the latest multimedia-capable handheld computer device with all features 4.3-inch TFT LCD touch screen (800x480 resolutions), 5 megapixel webcam and a large arsenal of applications, which is ideal for everyday mobile internet users.

One application that makes this MID stand out from its competitors is the fact it is WiMAX enabled and can therefore provide "genuine" broadband wireless access which is much faster than the current 2.5G or 3G service that telecommunication operators are offering. Dmedia is using WiMAX modules from Japan-based Fujitsu and a CPU by Korean-based Samsung for the M0.

Established in 2003, originally as a GPS OEM/ODM manufacturer, dmedia is now a major player in the wireless communication CPE and GPS related application market, with global partners like Alvarion, AT&T, Intel, Nokia, Motorola, Samsung, Sprint and many more. dmedia is actively participating in the M-Taiwan project, promote by the government that is planning to build an island wide broadband wireless network. dmedia will further adopt WiMAX technology into their products adopting like GPS car navigation, PND, mobile phone, PDA etc.
