The forth biggest PC maker, Lenovo, will be the main client for this NB and also Sayling Wen Cultural & Educational Foundation orders to be the gifts for students in remote regions of China.

Investors indicated that the education market of China is full of potential. Inventec Corp. used to be part of The Town and Talent – Yellow Sheep River project which successfully triggered the internet learning in remote areas of China. If the development of smartbook with inserted curriculum speeds up, the situation will boost Inventec hardware and software product lines to grow rapidly.

Inventec Corp. and its subsidiary, Inventec Appliance Corp. both pay close attention to China smartbook market. Inventec Appliance Corp. has developed a 7-inch color screen smartbook when Inventec Corp. was a step ahead to start the bulk production in July.

Inventec smartbook which is similar to a MID netbook but smaller than regular 10.1-inch netbook on the market is adapted 4.8-inch color screen with touch function. It will be user friendly and feature in the combination of a MID and electronic dictionary.

Different from Atom-based netbook on the market, Inventec smartbook is Marvell-based with Android OS.
