NVIDIA® Project SHIELD

Company: NVIDIA Corporation

From Hardware.Info

Project Shield is one of the most innovative products of 2013. It works extremely well as an Android console, but what really sets it apart is the possibility to stream PC games with it, either on the device itself or to a TV. It may pose a serious threat to next generation consoles.

From Hardwareluxx

How cool is that? NVIDIA reinvents the mobile gaming console with a unique device, that delivers awesome graphics performance and can run graphic intense games, which really look like if you would run them on your PC. The concept of the game controller and the touch-sensitive display is awesome. Due to the use of Andorid on NVIDIAs Tegra 4 microprocessor, it is even possible to upgrade the device for future use. That is my favorite innovation in 2013 - and of course a worthy Best Choice Award winner! I hope it comes to the market soon.
