Skiving Technology

Skiving is the very first manufacturing technology used by Cooljag in manufacturing heat sinks.  The fins are sliced and bent from a single block of pure copper or aluminum.  As its one single block of pure heat transferring material, there are no joints or connections required between its fins and the base, thus its 100% reliable and will never fail.  Moreover, skived fins can be thinner, taller and closer to each other than the extruded fins, thus creates the most heat dissipation area in a limited space.  These characteristics have combined the advantages of both extrusion and stacked fin technologies; it has more heat dissipation area than extruded heat sinks, an has 100% reliability unlike the stacked fin heat sinks with heat pipes which might fail over time.  This specific process does not necessarily require a customized mold, thus a common mold implies tooling fee can be low, and sampling is very fast.  This also brings flexibility and cost effectiveness to our valued customers.
