BC Award holds Press Conference, announces the 22 Winners
The 9th annual Best Choice (BC) Award pre-show
media presentation was held on May 26th where the 22 award winning products
presented to both local and international press media. In order to properly
unveil the 30th anniversary of COMPUTEX TAIPEI 2010 on June 1st, the 5 Special
Awards and the Best Choice of the Year Award will be presented during the
Opening Ceremony.
27 winners carefully selected from over 400
contesting products
The number of contesting products that have entered
the Best Choice Award has reached 416, an increased of 10 percent compared to 2009. The products
sent by numerous famous companies from domestic and overseas such as ASUSTeK, MSI, Acer, AVerMedia, Realtek, Advantech, Getac, Intel, NVIDIA
and etc.
Under the critical eyes of representatives, whom are from the industry, government,
academic circles and professional media, selected only 27 award winning products
under these categories: computer systems, IC components, peripherals, communication,
industrial computers, multimedia entertainment, storage media etc. This wide
industry range shows the latest trend in the global ICT industry that is
including mobile computing, wireless transmission, lightweight and daily
applications etc. These products have received the highest praise from the jury
for the maturity and innovation of the product.

About Best Choice Award
Best Choice Award established in 2002 is one of the
important official events during COMPUTEX TAIPEI, which is the second large ICT
exhibition worldwide. Its main purpose is to encourage the technological
innovation of the Taiwan ICT industry and to assist manufacturers expand
overseas market opportunities.
Each year, the numbers of participating
companies and products have increased steadily; where there were nearly 400
products applied in 2009. The award-winning products highlighted apart from
thousands of COMPUTEX TAIPEI exhibiting items, attracting high inquiry from
worldwide buyers. Also, the special award winners will be personally awarded by
the President of Taiwan during the Opening Ceremony of COMPUTEX TAIPEI, which
hundreds of overseas media attend.

The registration for Best Choice
Award usually opens from December to March. The application is for FREE.
For the sake of fairness, Best Choice Award has commissioned to recruit a
group of well-rounded juries including government representatives, academicians,
research analysts, editor-in-chiefs and experts and undergoes a rigorous
examination process consists of three stages. The winner
announcement is at the end of May.
