Background

Universal Microelectronics Co., Ltd. (UMEC)was established by Chairman Mr. Jimmy Ou on February, 1984. In order to support high quality electronic components for the IT industry, UMEC had built its own design team and manufacturing facilities. From the first delay line product; continuously developed various magnetic components and also was the first Taiwan pioneer DC-DC converter developer. With UMEC products are widely recognized by the industry, orders from many internationally world renown customers are flowing in. Since Taiwan factory capacity cannot support customer orders demand, UMEC has established its China factory. From 1994, UMEC had started its China manufacturing operations, UMEC (Shenzhen) CO., Ltd (Shenzhen, Guangdong) and UMEC (Fulong) CO., Ltd. (Longyan, Fujian). On 2013, UMEC also has established UMEC Vietnam factory at Hanoi.
