COMPUTEX TAIPEI, Asia's leading B2B technology exhibition, officially opened on
June 2 at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center Halls 1 and 2, TWTC Hall 1, and the
Taipei International Convention Center. TCA (Taipei Computer Association), one
of COMPUTEX's organizers, announced that COMPUTEX 2026 focuses on four major
technology trends: AI & Computing, Robotics & Smart Mobility, Next-Gen
Communications, and Green Energy & Sustainability. New additions at TWTC Hall 1
include the following zones: AI Robotics, TechXperience, and ePaper Pavilion.
This year, 1,500 companies from 33 countries and regions are exhibiting across
the Nangang and Xinyi venues, occupying 6,000 booths — a record high.
Distinguished guests including President Lai Ching-te, Premier of the Executive
Yuan Cho Jung-tai, Secretary-General to the President Pan Men-an, TCA Chairman
Jason Chen, and TAITRA Chairman James C. F. Huang attended the opening ceremony
to officially launch this year's global technology event.
Global Tech Giants Gather, Showcasing Cutting-Edge Innovations
In response to global AI digital transformation and the rise of the token
economy, the exhibition features a wide range of new technologies including AI
data centers, AI servers, AI PCs, AI workstations, AI inference chips, High
Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) power systems, Battery Backup Units (BBU), liquid
cooling, Silicon Photonics (CPO), smart cockpits, robots, drones, electric
vehicles, autonomous vehicles, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), 5G
private networks, 6G communications, low-earth orbit satellites, space
technology, cybersecurity, energy storage systems, recycled materials, and
net-zero emissions solutions — as well as smart retail, smart manufacturing,
smart healthcare, health care, smart transportation, and smart city solutions.
InnoVEX 2026, Asia's largest startup tech exhibition held concurrently with
COMPUTEX and positioned as the "Innovation Hub of Asia," reached its largest
scale in 11 years, bringing together nearly 500 startups and tech companies from
23 countries. It focuses on forward-looking "NEXT AI" technologies including AI
innovation, medical technology, semiconductor applications, robotics, smart
mobility, and advanced communications. The event features five categories of
themed pavilions — national pavilions, government programs, industry-academia
collaborations, local governments, and domestic and international accelerators —
including pavilions from 9 countries: Australia, Canada, Czech Republic, France,
Israel, Italy, Japan, South Korea, and Thailand, as well as participation from
notable accelerators such as Garage+, Plug and Play Taiwan, and NVIDIA
Inception.
TCA Chairman Jason Chen: 45 Years of COMPUTEX — Taiwan is a Trusted Partner
for Global AI Deployment
In his opening remarks, TCA Chairman Jason Chen noted that COMPUTEX, now in its
45th year, embodies the deep accumulated strengths of thousands of Taiwanese
tech companies. This year's record-breaking scale has attracted industry leaders
from over 160 countries and regions to Taipei — reflecting not just growth in
size, but COMPUTEX's rising international status and influence in the AI era.
Chairman Jason Chen highlighted four key advantages Taiwan holds amid recent
global disruptions including the pandemic, wars, generative AI, and rapid
advancements in computing. First, decades-long partnerships with international
clients spanning semiconductors, system R&D, manufacturing, logistics, and
maintenance have created an inseparable, symbiotic relationship. Second,
Taiwanese companies have built resilient global supply chains over many years.
Third, Taiwan boasts the world's strongest and most dedicated ICT R&D and
manufacturing engineering talent. Fourth, the spirit of continuous learning,
humility, diligence, and dedication — from executives to frontline workers — has
remained unchanged over the past 50 years.
This year's theme, "AI Together," reflects the belief that the AI era is not
about isolated breakthroughs, but about global collaboration, systems
integration, and real-world implementation. Taiwan is not only a vital hub in
the AI hardware supply chain, but also a trusted partner for deploying AI
applications worldwide.
COMPUTEX has grown into a major global tech brand, and the irreplaceable value
of in-person connection remains at its heart. This year, organizers aim to
extend that sense of community beyond the exhibition halls and into the city
itself. Tonight (June 2), Taipei 101 will serve as the stage for a drone show
featuring 1,000 drones, broadcast live on COMPUTEX YouTube for global audiences
to witness the intersection of technology and art in Taipei's night sky.
Tomorrow evening (June 3), the InnoVEX Night Party will bring together global
startups, investors, and industry partners to keep the momentum of innovation
and networking alive in Taipei.
■About COMPUTEX TAIPEI and InnoVEX
COMPUTEX TAIPEI was
established and named during the term of Chairman Stan Shih of Taipei Computer
Association (TCA), and in 1985, Taiwan External Trade Development Council
(TAITRA) was invited to co-organize the event. InnoVEX is a startup exhibition
jointly launched by the two organizations in 2016.
