Publish Date :2026/06/02

▲TCA (Taipei Computer Association),
announced that COMPUTEX, as a key exhibition platform for global buyers and
media, revealed the top honor of its official awards program — the Best
Choice Award (BC Award) — at today's opening ceremony. The Best Choice of
the Year award was presented to the NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72.
Asia's leading professional technology expo, COMPUTEX TAIPEI, officially opened
today (June 2nd) at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center Halls 1 & 2, World Trade
Center Hall 1, and the Taipei International Convention Center. One of the
organizers, TCA (Taipei Computer Association), announced that COMPUTEX, as a key
exhibition platform for global buyers and media, revealed the top honor of its
official awards program — the Best Choice Award (BC Award) — at today's opening
ceremony. The Best Choice of the Year award was presented to the NVIDIA Vera
Rubin NVL72.
NVIDIA Sweeps the Best Choice of the Year and Sustainable Tech Special
Awards
The judging panel gave high recognition to the NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72 for its
outstanding performance. As the centerpiece of a rack-scale AI supercomputer,
the system integrates 72 Rubin GPUs and 36 VERA CPUs, paired with
sixth-generation NVLink Switch technology, purpose-built for the inference and
training of trillion-parameter models. It delivers extreme compute density
alongside a fully liquid-cooling solution, significantly reducing the cost of
token inference while maximizing computational efficiency. With its dual
advantages of high performance and energy efficiency, the product not only
claimed both the Golden Award and Best Choice of the Year, but also received the
Sustainable Tech Special Award.
TCA noted that amid the rapid advancement of Generative AI (GenAI), Agentic AI,
and Physical AI, the ICT industry in 2026 has fully entered an era of practical
AI application. This year's BC Award winners span a broad range of technology
categories — including Generative AI, Agentic AI, Physical AI, HPC (High
Performance Computing), AI PC, gaming, Wi-Fi 8, cybersecurity, vertical-domain
AI applications, and energy-efficient sustainability solutions — closely
aligning with the procurement trends of international technology buyers.
High-Performance Computing: AI Infrastructure and HPC Enter a New Era
Driven by the AI wave, products related to AI infrastructure have demonstrated
tremendous R&D momentum. Delta Electronics stood out with two Golden Award wins:
its "AI Containerized Data Center" and "800VDC 2.4MW Liquid-to-Liquid Coolant
Distribution Unit (CDU)", both addressing the thermal management and power
delivery challenges of high-density computing. NVIDIA's next-generation
architecture, the NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72, and the NVIDIA Jetson Thor — designed
specifically for Physical AI and robotics — received the Best Choice of the Year
and a Golden Award respectively. Phison Electronics' 245TB ultra-high-capacity
enterprise SSD, the PASCARI D206V, also earned a Golden Award for its ability to
increase storage density in hyperscale data centers.
Edge Innovation: AI PCs Go Mainstream and Wi-Fi 8 Delivers Ultra-Fast
Connectivity
With semiconductor processes continuing to advance, AI
PC and Wi-Fi 8 technologies officially entered the consumer and commercial
markets in 2026. MediaTek claimed a Golden Award with its "AI-Ready, Single-chip
Wi-Fi 8 triband connectivity chip with UHR+", leading the upgrade in
communications standards. On the terminal AI side, the Intel® Core™ Ultra Series
3 processor, delivering platform compute performance of up to 180 TOPS, earned a
Golden Award for its versatile applications spanning AI PCs to edge AI
computing. MSI's "MSI GeForce RTX™ 5090 32G LIGHTNING Z" graphics card, which
integrates cooling, power delivery, and visual interaction within a single
flagship architecture, also took home a Golden Award. GIGABYTE's "AORUS RTX 5090
AI BOX" and Phison Electronics' "aiDAPTIV™ AI PC Turbo-Inference Solution"
further demonstrate how personal computers are evolving into powerful AI
computing terminal devices.
Cross-Sector Empowerment: AI Accelerates Smart Retail, Digital
Healthcare, Robotics, and Beyond
AI technology is breaking beyond
hardware boundaries and penetrating a wide range of vertical application fields.
E Ink's "E Ink Spectra 6 ePaper Signage System", Acer's "’Acer Medical’ VeriSee
GLC" AI-assisted diagnostic system, Siemens' "SIMATIC Robot Pick AI Pro", and
Elan Microelectronics' "Drone image processing and AI object detection and
tracking" all demonstrate the immense potential of AI technology to enhance
efficiency in retail, healthcare, manufacturing, and urban governance — while
also helping to mitigate the industrial impact of labor shortages.
Special Awards: Sustainable Tech Special Award and SME Special Award
Showcase Innovation Strength
As global awareness of environmental protection continues to grow, the number of
"Sustainable Tech Special Award" winners reached a new record high this year.
Recipients include Delta Electronics (AI Containerized Data Center), Sharp
Taiwan (SHARP ePoster Electronic Paper Display, EP-CA22), ASUS (ASUS ExpertBook
Ultra), AUO Display Plus Corporation (AecoPost Color ePaper Solution), NVIDIA
(NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72), Wincomm Corporation (Mobile Medical AI Workstation on
Wheel), and ADATA (XPG NOVAKEY RGB DDR5 Gaming Memory). This demonstrates that
alongside the pursuit of powerful computing performance, low power consumption
and environmental sustainability have become key indicators in corporate R&D.
In addition, two products newly received the "SME Special Award" this year:
EYS3D MICROELECTRONICS, CO.’s "Cloud-Edge VLM Enabled AMR Platform" and PLANET
Technology Corporation’s "AI Surveillance Station" — showing that even smaller
companies with relatively limited resources possess formidable technical
capabilities and a strong commitment to R&D.
Sustainable Design Award Revealed: Circular Design and Digital Display
Technology Replace Single-Use Woodwork and Traditional Print, Showcasing
Taiwan's Corporate ESG Strength
In addition to continuous product and technology innovation, this year's
COMPUTEX exhibition design also demonstrated strong ESG commitment. From the use
of recycled and circular materials to replacing single-use woodwork and
traditional printed outputs with digital display technology, exhibitors are
putting sustainability into practice through concrete actions — reflecting the
tech industry's dedication to low-carbon exhibitions and circular design.
The winners of this year's Sustainable Design Award have also been announced. In
the Flagship Group category (56-20 booths), the Gold went to ASUS, Silver to
LITEON, and Bronze to BenQ. In the Rising Star Group category (16-1 booths), the
Gold Award went to Transcend Information, Inc., Silver to YFY JUPITER LIMITED
TAIWAN BRANCH (HONG KONG), and Bronze to Volktek Corporation. Visitors are
welcome to stop by the award-winning booths to experience the blend of
environmental sustainability and technological aesthetics.
