Taiwan is a reliable partner for the global ICT industry

The three years long global pandemic has caused significant social and economic disruptions around the world. In this time period, the ICT industry was one of the few industries that actually performed relatively well; especially in Taiwan.

During the pandemic, people could not communicate face to face and had to rely more on the internet. In addition, the geopolitical tensions had further worsened the global economic outlook. However, despite these challenges, Taiwan businesses were able to achieve the highest growth rate and best performance in the last 10 years; especially in the PC, Server, peripherals, optoelectronics, and semiconductor industries. In the years 2020, 2021, and 2022; the export growth rate for Taiwan ICT products were 20%, 27.6%, and 14.8% respectively. The value has increased from USD 126.3 billion in 2019 to USD 222.4 billion in 2022.

This is not merely due to luck, but a result of 40 years’ accumulated experience and competitive advantage in Taiwan’s ICT industry. We can confidently say that Taiwan’s ICT industry has successfully passed many tests and has been globally recognized as one of the most efficient, reliable, and trustworthy partners.
