Founded in 1973, the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) is Taiwan's largest applied research institute, with over 6,500 employees. Its mission is to drive industrial development, create economic value, and enhance social well-being through technology R&D. ITRI focuses on Smart Living, Quality Health, Sustainable Environment, and Resilient Society, with core strengths in AI, cybersecurity, semiconductors, and communications. Its spin-offs include TSMC and UMC.
At COMPUTEX, ITRI showcases ICT results from programs funded by the Department of Industrial Technology (DoIT), MOEA:
1. Next-Gen Communications: 5G/5G-A Massive MIMO base stations and LEO satellite ground terminals.
2. AI Applications: service and manufacturing AI, generative video, and two-phase cold plates for AI servers.
3. Unmanned Vehicles: resilient drone swarms and AI-vision bridge inspection.
ITRI welcomes global partners for licensing, co-development, and startup collaboration.
