COMPUTEX TAIPEI 2025 Grand Opening Best Choice of the Year Announced
Publish Date :2025/05/20

Asia’s leading B2B ICT event, COMPUTEX TAIPEI is officially stared today (the 20th) at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center Halls 1 and 2. As one of the organizers, Taipei Computer Association (TCA) stated that COMPUTEX serves as a major platform for global buyers and media attention. During today’s opening ceremony, the official award of the event—Best Choice Award (BC Award)—proudly announced its top honor, the Best Choice of the Year, which was awarded to NVIDIA Cosmos.
The judging panel highly commended the winning product’s performance of the Best Choice of the Year. NVIDIA Cosmos platform gives a boost to the development of physical AI, including robotics and autonomous driving, introducing open and customizable inference models, bringing together advanced generative world foundation models, high-performance visual tokenizers, security protection mechanisms, and video processing pipelines to provide powerful tools for AI developers. By adopting the Nvidia Cosmos Tokenizer as the visual tokenizer, it can efficiently convert images and videos into computer-processable tokens for excellent performance boosts in both overall compression rate and processing speed. As a result, it was awarded the Best Choice of the Year.
TCA stated that the winning products of BC Award this year span across various technological fields, including AI, Gaming, Cybersecurity, Smart Application, and Environmental Sustainability, fully aligning with the procurement trend of international buyers.
AI Applications Bloom, Becoming the Highlight of BC Award
TCA pointed out that AI has become the core engine driving digital transformation. According to the IDC
report The Global Impact of Artificial Intelligence on the Economy and Jobs, AI is projected to contribute USD 19.9 trillion to the global economy by 2030, accounting for 3.5% of the global GDP. This trend is also reflected in this year’s BC Award competition, with a significant increase in AI-related product submissions, making it the most eye-catching focus of the exhibition. From smart transportation to robotic patrol dogs, AI technology is deeply integrated across various innovative fields. Over 60% of this year’s winning products focus on AI applications, showcasing the diverse ways AI is driving industrial innovation.
Take ELAN’s winning product, "Edge Vision AI Traffic Signal Control" as an example, this edge computing AI image recognition model is allowed for real-time processing at the data generation site for reduced latency, improved response speed, and decreased the demand for network bandwidth. It recognizes and tracks large vehicles, small vehicles, and motorcycles to monitor mixed traffic flow and turning volume at intersections. It can predict red light violations and extend red light duration to prevent accidents.
Another winning product, "DeCloakBrain AipA robut system" from Etron Technology is a privacy-aware, embodied intelligent robot designed in collaboration with the United States for the LAPD for applications in security patrol and situational event analysis. Its main features include privacy protection AI technology, automatic situational awareness, real-time anomaly handling, low-power intelligent computing, and compatibility with existing robot hardware. As an edge device integrating both software and hardware, the more it connects, the smarter it becomes.
BC Award's Sustainable Tech Special Award Highlights Green Procurement and Circular Economy
In response to the global trend of environmental sustainability, BC Award continues to present "Sustainable Tech Special Award," now in its third year. The judging panel noted that an increasing number of companies are striving to adopt new or recycled materials—such as recycled plastics and recycled aluminum—to replace traditional high-energy-consuming materials, aiming to reduce the carbon footprint of their products. The panel hopes that by continuing to promote this award, the industry will be guided toward adopting more sustainable models of production and consumption.
Take Acer’s winning product "TravelMate P6 14 AI" as an example, it not only has received EPEAT Gold certification but also reduces plastic usage by incorporating PCR plastic materials, aligning with international trends in plastic reduction. Additionally, it offers a circular economy product leasing model, effectively enhancing product recycling and extending its lifespan. This laptop delivers both high performance and excellent sustainability.
COMPUTEX Continues to Showcase the Strength of the Global Gaming Product Supply Chain, Meeting Demands for Advanced AI Computing
According to NewZoo's
PC and Console Gaming Report 2025, global spending on PC and console games is projected to decline by 2% in 2024 to USD 80.2 billion, due to broader market conditions. However, growth is expected to resume in 2025, with spending projected to rise to USD 92.7 billion by 2027.
As gaming PCs are capable of running AAA games, handling video editing, and performing various types of advanced AI computing, gaming-related products continue to see solid demand in the market. Nearly one-sixth of the BC Award-winning products this year are related to gaming, reflecting this ongoing trend, including NVIDIA’s NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 GPU, MSI’s Titan 18 HX Dragon Edition Norse Myth and MEG VISION X AI, GIGABYTE’s AORUS MASTER 16, 2025 Zephyrus G14, ROG Strix ACE Series Gaming Monitor, ROG Harpe ll Ace Wireless Gaming Mouse from ASUS, and Acer’s Predator XB323QX Gaming Monitor, all are diverse gaming products specifically designed for gamers around the world.
BC Award Winning Products to be Showcased in 4F Lobby of TaiNEX 2
The Best Choice Award 2025 demonstrates the innovative momentum and commitment to sustainability of the technology industry. To enhance the award's visibility and attract greater attention from both domestic and international buyers, all winning products will be displayed during COMPUTEX TAIPEI (4th Floor Lobby of TaiNEX 2), inviting global industry professionals to join us in witnessing the energy of technological transformation and green future.
