TCA (Taipei Computer Association), co-organizer of COMPUTEX , Asia's leading
B2B tech trade show, announced that the exhibition industry is embracing
greener practices to align with global ESG goals. Across booth themes, designs,
raw material choices, and promotional medium, exhibitors increasingly integrate
sustainability creatively with their showcases. COMPUTEX promotes sustainability
avidly and has held the Sustainable Design Award for three consecutive years,
encouraging companies to apply the 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) to their booth
design and activities.
During the COMPUTEX 2026 opening ceremony, the Sustainable Design Award winners
were announced and presented with awards. Preceding this were on-site
presentations by exhibitors and evaluations by the judging panel the day before.
In the Flagship Group (20 booths or more), ASUSTeK Computer Inc. won the Gold
Award, LITEON TECHNOLOGY won the Silver Award, and BenQ Corporation won the
Bronze Award. In the Rising Star Group (16 booths or fewer), Transcend
Information, Inc. won the Gold Award, YFY JUPITER LIMITED TAIWAN BRANCH (HONG
KONG) won the Silver Award, and Volktek Corporation won the Bronze Award. Ten
additional companies, GIGABYTE TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD., MediaTek, E Ink Holdings

MITWELL, INC., ATEN INTERNATIONAL CO., LTD., ABILITY ENTERPRISE CO., LTD., and
PROMISE Technology, Inc. also received the EcoBooth Certificate for meeting
the judges' sustainability standards.
The head judge of the Sustainable Design Award noted that this year's
COMPUTEX booth designs demonstrated strong ESG alignment, from the use of
recycled and circular materials to the replacement of single-use wood and
traditional printed materials with digital display technology. Exhibitors are
putting sustainability into practice through concrete actions, reflecting the
tech industry's commitment to low-carbon exhibitions and circular booth material
design.

ASUSTeK Computer Inc. Wins Gold at COMPUTEX 2026 Sustainable Design Award
(Flagship Group) for Clear Design Vision and Reusable Exhibition Booth
The judging panel noted that ASUSTeK Computer Inc.’s booth had a clear design
vision that focused on the integration of technology and sustainability. The
booth space was highly expressive and fluid. A horizontal LED ceiling screen
broke free from the constraints of vertical steel frames, creating an aesthetic
and eco-friendly experience that offered visitors a fresh new way to engage with
the exhibition. Sustainable materials were used, including steel frames and LEDs
that were almost entirely recyclable – the booth itself could be reused at other
exhibitions. The ramp design also considers the needs of visitors with mobility
challenges. For these reasons, the judging panel gave their unanimous approval,
awarding ASUSTeK Computer Inc. the Gold in the Flagship Group at the COMPUTEX
2026 Sustainable Design Award.

LITEON TECHNOLOGY Wins Silver at COMPUTEX 2026 Sustainable Design Award
(Flagship Group) for Integrating Three Types of Flow into Booth Design and
Achieving a 70% Material Recycling Rate
The judging panel noted that LITEON TECHNOLOGY seamlessly integrated three types
of flow, information flow, electrical flow, and visitor flow into a unified
design, blending physical and digital elements to create a highly distinctive
booth experience. The booth made clever use of corner spaces, integrating
dynamic digital content to deliver a 3D viewing experience that draws the
attention of visitors. The main structural materials, including the steel frames
and LEDs, were sustainable choices. The booth had a 70% material recycling rate,
reduced wood usage by 30% compared to the previous year, and increased LED
product information displays by 50%, all of which significantly reduced the use
of paper, wood, and print. Taking all of these strengths into consideration,
LITEON TECHNOLOGY was awarded Silver in the Flagship Group at the COMPUTEX 2026
Sustainable Design Award.
BenQ Corporation Wins Bronze at COMPUTEX 2026 Sustainable Design Award
(Flagship Group) for its Effective Use of Color to Differentiate Content Areas,
Low-Carbon Composite Wood Materials, and Fully Dismantlable Booth Design
The judging panel noted that BenQ Corporation's booth was dynamic and diverse,
using a variety of colors to distinguish thematic content areas, which aided
spatial planning and navigation across the large exhibition space. Replacing
traditional posters with LED dynamic screens also significantly boosted
sustainability. The booth incorporated modular aluminum and low-carbon composite
wood developed by ITRI for flooring and wall panels, allowing all materials to
be 100% disassembled and reused after the show, ensuring zero waste. The judges
recognized the strong market potential for the company’s applications in
sustainable exhibitions, and for all these reasons, BenQ was awarded the Bronze
in the Flagship Category at the COMPUTEX 2026 Sustainable Design Award.
Transcend Information Wins Gold at COMPUTEX 2026 Sustainable Design Award
(Rising Star Group) for its Clean and Straightforward Booth Design and Reusable
Display Racks
The judging panel noted that Transcend Information's booth was compact and
focused in both design and size, which helped reduce energy and resource
consumption and reflected the company's clear intention and strategy to minimize
waste from the source. The modular design allows for quick disassembly and
reassembly with strong reusability. The booth made use of the brand's primary
color scheme alongside energy-efficient light boxes, effectively balancing
marketing appeal with sustainability. The overall booth design was clean and
straightforward. The display racks can be reused for retail stores, and other
fixtures were rented instead of purchased. For these reasons, Transcend
Information was awarded Gold in the Rising Star Group at the COMPUTEX 2026
Sustainable Design Award.

YFY JUPITER LIMITED TAIWAN BRANCH (HONG KONG) Wins Silver at COMPUTEX 2026
Sustainable Design Award (Rising Star Group) for Using Corrugated Cardboard as
the Sole Material Throughout the Entire Booth
The judging panel noted that YFY JUPITER LIMITED TAIWAN BRANCH, a Hong
Kong-based company participating in COMPUTEX for the first time, impressed by
using corrugated cardboard as the sole material throughout the entire booth, a
truly stunning achievement. Beyond being easy to recycle and reuse, this booth
material reduces weight, lowering carbon emissions from transportation, which
simultaneously enhances the company's brand image. The company’s own products
are used to shape the robot centerpiece, creating a playfully artistic design to
the space. The display system was robust, and the material wall is reusable for
future exhibitions. For all these reasons, YFY JUPITER LIMITED TAIWAN BRANCH
(HONG KONG) was awarded Silver in the Rising Star Group at the COMPUTEX 2026
Sustainable Design Award.
Volktek Corporation Wins Bronze at COMPUTEX 2026 Sustainable Design Award
(Rising Star Group) for its Digital Information Table Design that Promotes
Interaction Between Visitors and Guides
The judging panel noted that Volktek Corporation's booth placed a strong
emphasis on paperless and digitized operations, as well as the post-show reuse
of display stands and racks. The introduction of a digital information table
effectively facilitated interaction between visitors and guides, making it a
particularly distinctive feature within a small booth space. Modular display and
storage cabinets can be adjusted to suit the on-site layout as needed. The
foldable storage design not only makes storage more convenient but also helps
reduce transportation costs. By combining display tables with demo computers,
the booth was able to significantly reduce the use of printed promotional
materials. For all these reasons, Volktek Corporationwas awarded the Bronze in
the Rising Star Group at the COMPUTEX 2026 Sustainable Design Award.
