At the COMPUTEX 2026 Pre-Show Forum, Moe Abdula, APAC Vice President of Customer Engineering at Google Cloud, delivered a keynote titled "Agents in Action - Real Life examples and Best Practices for Agentic Solutions." In his session, Abdula explored the rise of Agentic AI and how enterprises are deploying AI agents across industries, from customer service and financial services to manufacturing and retail.
He highlighted that Google Cloud is purpose-built for the Agentic Era, which is built upon three core pillars: ‘Context & Memory’, for understanding user, process, and enterprise contexts across short- and long- term interactions; the ‘Ability to Take Action’, transitioning from simple text generation to workflow execution across complex, multi-step scenarios; and ‘Secured to Share, Governed to Care’, providing eEnterprise-grade security and identity management that allows for discovery of agents across the enterprise. Underpinning all of this is the crucial ‘Agentic Data Cloud for Enterprises’ at the foundational.
Real-world adoption of Agentic AI spans multiple sectors. Key applications include digital experiences, customer support, and marketing optimization in Retail & Consumer Goods; risk assessment, customer service, and middle-office optimization in Financial Services; regulatory compliance and network operations in Telecom; and predictive maintenance and supply chain management in Manufacturing & Logistics.
Through various real-world examples and live demonstrations, Abdula successfully conveyed how AI agents leverage context, memory, reasoning, and secure execution to automate complex tasks, enhance decision-making, and improve operational efficiency. Ultimately, the session underscored that the efficient management of these “digital employees” is critical to the success of enterprise digital transformation.
